If there ever comes a day when we can't be together keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever. -- Winnie the Pooh

Daniel, Sherry, Jonathon, Jacob, Seth and Abigail

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.” Winnie the Pooh

Happy 18th birthday Jacob!

Where has time gone? Seems like yesterday I was looking through the incubator at my baby boy and wondering what the future might hold for you! You looked so tiny in there even though you weren't very tiny at 10lbs and 3oz! Dad and I both loved you so much! You were a joy from the start, wiggling around until you had your head right under our chin! The law says you are a man but somehow my mother heart says that can't be---that perhaps you are still my little boy!

Family

We had a hurried but good day with the family yesterday. I think it was Abigail that asked me why her dad was going bald and Uncle Darwin wasn't. At first I said they had different genes but she gave me a funny look so I told her I really didn't know how that worked but apparently her dad got the bald genes and Uncle Darwin didn't! She really likes her pap-pa Brunson. None of us ever got to know Daniel's dad because he passed away when Daniel was 17. Since they never really knew my dad either Pap-pa Brunson is the only grandpa they have ever known. He is a great one to them!

My girl and me!

When Abigail tried on my dress and it fit I was shocked. I told her to go see her dad and she didn't want to because she thought he would be mad because she was wearing my dress.....I told her that anger would not be his reaction! I was right of course, he came out to where I was and said, "wow! I would of never imagined how that would make me feel but I got teary-eyed!"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABIGAIL!

I love you! You were one of the cutest babies ever! I am so happy that dad and I were the ones blessed with you! You make me laugh so much! I can't believe you are 15 already! You should be my 8lb 2oz baby girl still! More than one of my male friends has said, "I am so glad I don't have any girls." As you can see your daddy loves his girl!

One girls trash..........

is another girls treasure!
I rescued these tables from a trip to the landfill when we were in Florida. A friend said that she was going to put them by the curb if I didn't want them so I took them to put in a yard sale but the more I looked at them the better I liked them! At first Daniel was not pleased that I brought them home but now he likes them!

My dad

Today would of been my dad's birthday. So hard to believe that more than 2 years have passed since he passed away. Time has a way of getting away from us! My dad liked to carry a pocket full of change and now and then would reach in his pocket to grab some and give it to me! It would of also been my grandpa Schnell's birthday.

YES!

It's a great day here in the Buckeye state! I am pulling a double here at work so that isn't all fun. I miss my family but at least the weather is gorgeous! I went to the store and besides nearly getting hit head on by a dump truck it was a nice drive. I was fortunate to have plenty of room on the shoulder. Then a lady nearly ran into me at the store because she was cutting through cars. When I got back I went to turn in and a lady nearly ran into the back of the car! I think I need to update my emergency numbers! Did I mention it is a great day to be alive? It is a beautiful place here where I work and I can take long walks! My lady swears that her dog has a crush on me! I am the only one he will get his toy for on demand and when I am gone for 2 days he will jump up on the table and jump onto my chest to nuzzle my neck! Yep, he is in love, guess that is what I attract!

BLUE!

I have been so sad lately! Seems like I can't quite measure up to all the demands or make anyone happy! NOT EVEN ME! Then my client turns around and tells me that I am the best thing that has happened to her in years! She told her daughter that her and I are alot alike so we get along great! Her daughter told her she didn't know there was anyone anywhere that was as weird as her! I thought that was rather mean but oh, well, weird is ok. She also told my boss that if he searched the world over he would never find a better caregiver than me. I'm sure that's not true but for now I am glad to be of help and that makes me feel a little better concerning my job. Now if only everyone else in my life felt the same way maybe I could realize that I am going to be ok in the grand scheme of things. Oh, well. Life, it's a big mystery at times!

Donna

Hey girl, wanted to send you some kudos! Thank you so much for being a great friend here lately when I've needed one! I appreciate that more than you know! I am glad to have a friend that doesn't judge me wrong all the time but will shoot straight when I need it. You have helped me see that being the same as I always was isn't a bad thing! You make me laugh and sometimes I need that! We will make it through the hard times~I am sure of it! Good things are ahead! To quote my kids, "Donna rocks, she's the bomb!"

WHEW!

What a great but tiring day! I actually made it to the park without getting lost! That was an accomplishment in itself. We did alot of walking, which was good for me. Jacob is sure he had a better time than anyone else. Maybe since his girfriend was there that is true! The whole day was fun. It took me back in time to when I was on my own date at a park. I was in a beautiful park with a great guy that was not only sweet but easy on the eyes. Great music, great weather, great fun and I slipped and fell on my rear! Leave it to me to do something like that, at least I didn't drag him down with me! I think my face turned as pink as the shirt I was wearing! AAAHHHH......the memories of youth, sometimes they are wonderful! I hope that Jacob and Hannah will remember this for a long time!

A day out~~again!

Wednesday we spent part of the day at the mall and doing some other shopping and today we are going to a park about an hour away to meet up with Jacob's girlfriend and her family. Well, the dads are working so it will be us moms and the kids. I am sure we will have fun---if a certain person doesn't get lost....that would be me! I know the address of the lake we are going to so I am going to "mapquest" it before I head out. I'll get some minutes for my phone then be good to go! I hope!

EASTER!

Well, I was beginning to think there wouldn't be a "HOT WHEEL" for our kids this Easter but I happened on some they don't have! I know, I know, my youngest is nearly 15 but they still love them. How can they not? Their dad still gets in the floor and plays with his cars! Well, that's not true but he still has all of his from childhood and still picks up one every now and then. I have been so sad lately. Jonathon is no longer at home so I sent him some money instead of making him a basket and it just dawned on me this past Monday that not only is my little girl in high school she is near the end of the first year of it! She is after her dad to build her a hope chest and for some reason I am the only one that thinks she is too young for that! Jacob will graduate this year and Seth next year! How do these things happen? I am sure it was just last week when they were all playing around my feet!
