If there ever comes a day when we can't be together keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever. -- Winnie the Pooh

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.” Winnie the Pooh

Daniel's Table

The table Daniel built for a lady! She loved it!
I hope he will build me one that I can love!

Tears for Abigail

I know I posted this picture before but Taffy died this morning and I have a sad girl right now. She bought and paid for this little pig with her own money, not to mention loving her dearly. I know some might laugh but she really could use some prayers!

girls and boys

The other night it was just 4 of us at home ( I won't say which 4) and the subject of girls came up and looks was in there too. Daniel told the 2 that if we always: Seek ye first the kingdom of God, that all the other things fall into place and that includes jobs, girls and that sort of thing. He also told them to never marry for looks because they really do not last. One more thing he said, If the girl is for you then God has a way of making her look pretty. Kid #1 said he was glad of that. I had to share this moment too so I said, yes, that is right he sort of changes your eyesight and if she is real ugly maybe he could just make you blind. That did not go over very well. Daniel told us about someone that he knew that married someone that she had nothing in common with because she tought that opposites attract and their marriage would last that way. I let them know that opposites do attract sometimes and it does work. Daniel has all of his shoes lined up by the bed and mine are under the bed....well, a few of them are in the shoerack. I told the boys that if someone gave Daniel and I each 6 ducks his would all be lined up politely eating and saying "Quack" in a nice voice and mine would be running around eating whatever and wherever and Daniel asked why I thought that and I told him that we all know he has his ducks in a row. He says he doesn't but it sure looks like it to me!

cars, friends and other things...

On the way in to town we saw lots of old race cars. Apparently they had a parade since Saturday is the day of the 12 Hours of Sebring. They were so neat. Who knows, they may have even gone 100mph! I am sure that was fast way back then. I sent a B-day card to a friend I had when I was 18 and I was so excited that she emailed me...she was my best friend ever and it was like we had never lost touch! The other things are pray for us...the Lord has been helping us alot and there are times when I think God is telling me something different than he is telling Daniel and well................and another thing, I have the hardest time looking at God as my father and I know that it isn't right but just the whole father figure thing is something I don't understand. I have seen people being great fathers so I know it happens. My mom tells me to just keep praying about it and God will help me along that area. I just struggle so much with that. I hope all is going well in your lives and that Spring will spring for real soon!

Gotta love those boys

Last night I set the dishes to soak and went to look through some pictures and totally forgot them. I was so surprised when I got up this morning and Jacob had washed and dried them all! I think that is the first. He had even walked the dog and fed him. He woke up at 5:00 and could not sleep. Then, I simply gotta love Jonathon also. The other night I told Daniel that if I could only wear XL I would have alot more choices and Jonathon spoke up and asked why on earth I would want to be XL!? I asked him what he thought I wore and he said, "medium?" Hmmm...I wish! Of course there is Seth my constant flatterer! He wanted to scan a picture of me and put it on a sweatshirt! His reason? Because I am so pretty he wants everyone to see it! UMMM...No way, not gonna happen. The funny part is he means it! Daniel told the boys that one of his teachers told him that you could tell what a gal was gonna look like by looking at her mother so I told Abigail I was sorry and she said, "very funny." I love all my kids sense of humor! By the way, I will be posting some pics from way back when once I get them on a CD. I have pics of Janiece, Michelle and Sara so be on the lookout!

dumb

ok, ignore the below post that did not work like I wanted it too. For ssoem reason I cannot take it off either. One of the things that make you say GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR..............

Yahoo! Mail - slgates39@yahoo.com

WHY???

HHMMM...I am just wondering why it makes me weird that I actually enjoy clipping coupons and making menus as well as cooking? I have a friend that hates that sort of thing and I don't tell her that I THINK she is weird! HA!HA! I know she sure likes to try the stuff I make but never makes stuff herself! Anyway, she thinks I am weird but that is ok I suppose because unlike her I do not get into it with my hubby about my way overspending! I have thought a time or 2 that it would be fun to just put whatever in my cart but only brought myself to do it once and did not end up with enough "real" food for the week. This is also the same friend that after asking me what I had done all day told me that it didn't take much to make me happy after I told her I had done laundry, made bread and dessert as well as supper. At first I was sort of offended but then I decided to take that as a compliment because it truly does not take much to make me happy and I hope I am always that way! I have finally began to realize that I am what I am and that I might as well like myself! On that note, if any of you know of any good bread recipes I would love to try them. I am especially interested in bread bowls!
